But Jeff, don't you think this sentiment indicator thing is highly overrated, especially related to SI threads? For example, I'm sure people have mistakenly bailed out of DELL over the past couple years because analysts/small investors/SI thread have been consistently (and as it turned out correctly) bullish.
And, if on-line threads are used in this manner, why don't I just start lying, start duplicitously expressing fear, for example, about ASND's price, and pull a reverse Finder everyday. Ya know, whenever any stock is down, Finder appears and says, "The sky is falling." So, whenever I want to buy, I say sell and whenever I want to sell I say buy. This sort of strategy might work well for the big boys with their "analysts" on CNBC, but I just don't think the SI threads are powerful enough to make this strategy worthwhile.
