Your post reminds me of a column by the late, great Mike Royko. He proposed that the taxation authorities had their priorities askew, that what they should be taxing the bejeebers out of is things like yogurt and jogging shoes, not liquor and tobacco, because the health nuts are the ones who will live forever and become burdens on society.
