Well..MS may well be limited on the amount of preannouncements they can make going foward.

Now under the eye of the DOJ, Microsoft will have to take greater pains to ensure that all employees are following the letter of the law. Lawyers will almost surely roll out preventive measures fraught with difficulty for a freewheeling organization. Written codes of conduct that must be read and signed yearly could easily appear on workers' desks. Forbidden phrases and topics of discussion, entire ways of doing business all may fall by the wayside.

Fewer salespeople will likely have the temerity to threaten to yank licenses for Microsoft products when things don't go their way. "Preannouncements" - used to intimidate the competition into not entering a market - may well become fewer and farther between. Colorful talk about "cutting off [a rival's] air supply" could simply cease.

Like I said long ago...they are their own worst enemy. If they can't get their facts straight from here on out, the DOJ will be more than happy to use it against them...JMHSOFM.
