Hi all; About the new Value Line ranking for BKS...

I promised in the above link to post it:

Expected prices were increased 25%,
but no explanation. Also the final paragraph
changed wording slightly. Sometimes I
think the Value Line guys are just pretending
to work... Technical is a new rating which
is a "TA" rating:

Value Line rating and comments for BKS:

May 22, 1998.
Timeliness is 2, Safety is 3. Technical is 2.
(Ratings are 1 to 5, with 1 being the best.)

Expected price in 2000-2002 is $45 to $70.

These timely shares provide above average
3- to 5-year appreciation potential. We would,
however, caution investors that heavy costs
associated with starting-up the on-line venture
could exceed our current expense assumptions.

P.S. AMZN failed to break out of its falling channel
today, so I would call it still a TA short at current prices.
Value line will update AMZN's profile within the next
week, I will post.

Carl's Value Line Sales Pitch:
Value line has the greatest long term charts if you are
interested in things like 15 year growth rates in sales
per share. They are a fundamental value hunters dream,
and currently has a deal where you get 3 months (a full
set) for only $55. I also subscribe to the extended
set, but I haven't got as much use out of it.
