"PointCast Competitor Issues Upgrade"

Netpresenter (http://www.netpresenter.com), a Dutch push
technology company, has released version 3.0 of its
PointCast-like product, which includes software designed
to run on networks. Netpresenter chief Frank Hoen said his
firm's player and screen saver components need 5 to 10
percent of the network load required by competitors. "Most
newscast applications are too big and unwieldy, and can
even bring your network to a halt," Hoen said.
