Caught the article earlier, and I found the the following statement interesting.
"Prove It 2000 has in the past discussed the issue of the Real Time Clock with Compaq and offered its assistance in providing a solution at minimal cost. SOURCE Prove It 2000"

IMHO, I would make a contract with these gentlemen with payment contingent on them finding a real problem and providing a solution. Some how furnishing a real time clock that functions in the Y2K seems so logical and simple that I don't believe Compaq overlooked it. However, I am not a technical person, and stranger things have happened.

On a very positive note, I am very happy to see Compaq advertising the Y2K compliant PCs. I think it will motivate many people and companies to replace and upgrade.their PCs. I have thought for some time that Compaq is a solid Y2k market play.
