Allen, Thanx again for a level-headed response and insight into recent developments. There is an undercurrent of frustration in my post about how long it will take to right the WIND ship. If your are somewhat notorious for your optimistic timing, I am certainly guilty of the opposite. Some reasons why I will hang in there (even if it takes 2 1/2 years ): * my 10 year history with RTOS development - before I assessed and integrated COTS RTOSs, I wrote my own. * my familiarity with all the COTS RTOSs out there - by far, WIND offers the best and richest set of products in this arena. * WIND's solid management - Here is where faith probably plays the biggest role in my investment decision. IMO, Ron Abelman and Jerry Fiddler's strategy will position them as one of the dominant players, if not the dominant player in the hard embedded space in the forseeable future. * witnessing the increasing hard requirements with existing embedded systems along with market growth. Without sounding too smug, I console myself at times like this by imagining where WIND will be in 5 years from now and how richly rewarded long term WIND investors will be. Cheers, Ronald
