Betty, Thanks for the response. Do you know what company or companies are in competition with ASE? After researching ASE on the Web, the company is rated a "BUY" by the one analyst following it, has just adapted a share-holder's rights plan, has just received a large contract from the U.S. armed services, has just recently concluded a contract with a Near Eastern country, and has been heavily engaged with R & D to further secure its niche. All this looks impressive, and, of course, ASE's business of security X-rays for international shipments of all kinds has got to be hot and expanding. As you can tell, I'm impressed by what I've seen, and not having discovered any downsides, wonder if there are any. Also, do you know if ASE usually
trades within a price range, e.g. within a 2 or 3 point range depending on the price of the stock (e.g. between 10 and 13 when the high is 13 or between 12 and 15 if the high if $15). If this is true, one can know when to buy at the "bottom" of the range, and also, perhaps, trade the stock by buying low, selling at the "high," then rebuying at the estimated "low." Harold V.
