If I may, let me ask some really stupid questions, since I don't know a thing about apparel/textile production. My wife doesn't even allow me to dress myself.

I've purchased printed t-shirts in the past for both business and personal projects. It takes forever and costs a lot. How do they make printed products now and why does it cost so much and take so long?

The only things I understand about this new process is that it will (supposedly) reduce overall production costs and improve turnaround time. If I want to produce X number of widgets, and I can reduce total costs (including depreciation on the new equipment) by Y and improve delivery time by Z, then I'm ahead of the game by an quantifiable amount. These are concepts that I can latch on to. How does this new process do that?

Please keep the answer as simple as possible, as I know nothing about this industry.
