I am not sure what's happening with stock price movement. I am not able to find any negative news to account for the movement. Is this pre earning jitters? Ortel made $0.14 even last year second quarter when the industry was not clear with the deregulation. Since then ortel has introduced several new products, significant strategic alliances and acquisitions. Even PCS is taking off. The negative factors, I consider is the earnings reported by GIC (General Instruments) and their warning about GIC's growth for the next year and TCI (TCOMA) intention to temporarily suspend taking deliveries temporarily. Ofcourse other Cable operators also reported poor earning and cash flows but made no mention of cutting their spending. HLIT reported that the TCI's suspension affects them only by 5%. I do not think TCI affects ORTL as much as HLIT.

The major foriegn contract for ORTL is seems to be going along well. PCS launch should also help ORTL. I hope the price movement is just a pre-earnings jitters.
