[RCN Corporation Announces Intent to File for Public Offering of Senior Discount Notes] PRINCETON, N.J., May 29 /PRNewswire/ -- RCN Corporation today announced that it intends to file a Registration Statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a public offering of Senior Discount Notes. The Notes are expected to be for a ten-year term and are expected to be issued at a discount to yield gross proceeds to RCN of $250,000,000. The offering will be made only by means of a prospectus.
