update to yonghzi et al..spoke this am with stemme, usa (st louis)..very nice, knowledgeable people...brian hudnut gave me some good info: howard foote well known to company... howard bought their prototype S10 VC, proof of concept aircraft ..replacing the rotax engine with a twin turbo/dual staged 4 cylinder engine producing 150 hp..howard allowed stemme to use his aircraft in orlando at a trade show-he is hard working and dedicated, credible, etc., according to brian..in past ventures, when howard left the ventures collapsed-his input is vital, in the opinion of brian, and if howard sticks to it, an operation could be very successful..brian believes, fwiw, that howard's concept will be successful, and, of course, brian would want it to be because stemme would sell the aircraft...also, howard is talking with "westcamp"-remotely controlled high end camera company-to use, maybe, howards modified stemme for patrols, line services, etc.-it's so much cheaper/efficient to put a surveillance system/photography/video program on a cost-efficient little aircraft versus a one million dollar helicopter...lot's of potential uses for howard's concept and modified stemme power-glider... |
