David, I thought the biometric and the healthcare and smartcard references were interesting in that progress is being made for the USA industry. Found an article about biometrics, went along with the recent report card story. It's lengthy and has some basic and some vender specific info. IDX is not mentioned. Cognet is mentioned as a major supplier for AFIS systems. networkcomputing.com steve
