Hi Salah - With IBM now over $150 per share, would it not make more sence for an IBM/Novell offer based on a stock swap...say 8 Novell for 1 IBM??? Now more then ever with the restructure Novell has implemented over the last twelve months and the IBM stock price increase, a good argument could be made to IBM's board to do the deal now looking forward through 2000.

What if anything would they be waiting for?? The only thing I recall was Barry's comment......The longer IBM waits, they may get Novell for free.

We can do all the analysis on this company and work the numbers through several different senarios but the bottom line still faces all us shareholders....the stock price!

I agree with Scott, let's bite the bullet and clean house now and get more agressive management. Perhaps, we will get more vision through this route by the street. I can only site the recent move in BAY Networks from it's low of $18 pre CEO. Now $25 and it continues to move with good positive momentum. They also announced a large restructuring fee and the market seems to like this "proactive" move.

Your overview is always welcomed as you tend to take a non bias approach to your analysis.

EKS

P.S. Joe - lot's of interesting news from COMDEX but Novell has been quite. How much longer do we wait as MSFT and IBM seem to get all of the attention. I know it is not 12/96 yet but we are only days away not month's.
