We run last year's top performing domestic risk arbitrage fund and thus see hundreds of "garbitrage" deals every year. Typically, if a deal is "imminent", internal restructurings are put on hold until the odds of a merger go sub 50/50%. This may be highlighted by the PC Mag article that conveyed that the BAY/NT discussions were over. I hope this thing doesn't tank back to 24 on no news next week. Keep our fingers crossed.
