I have been reading your comments over the last several weeks with great interest. I believe you, and everyone else, are starting to understand the full implications. However, as it pertains to apparel, samples are the tip of the iceberg.
My background is 16 years in the women's apparel business - owner of a $42mm company. The big deal, as I see it with APTX is their stated ability to unit print on white - 1 to 100k units +. If this is true then they have the ability to truly change the apparel industry.
When you buy printed piece goods you must commit to X,000s of yards. You may or may not utilize 100% of the buy. Thus you must factor waste into your costing. By printing on white and by the unit you can take a position in material, and maximize it's utilization. In addition, you allow for "Just In Time" service of prints (which are fashion driven). This is the big buzz in retail today. The proof will be with the Sears test APTX has in the stores currently.
I see this company with great upside opportunities.
