Talked to USG & they get there stuff from Nibco in Chicago. The big thing for the sheetrock manufacturing process is purity. They need 94% or better Calcium Sulfide (gypsum). Nibco adds oxygen to the Calcium Sulfide slurry and it becomes Calcium Sulfate or artificial gypsum. As far as gradation, the guy I talked to in Chicago indicated that the typical gradation requirements for the gypsum is between a 50 & a 100 sieve. Don't know if that works with FASC or not, but the drywall joint compound requires something more finer, somewhere in the neighborhood of a 200 gradation. Anyhow, I hope FASC is reading this thread and can put two & two together & get something going with the gypsum supply to south, the mode to transport to crusher (kinetically speaking LOL, and a market hungry for the product.
