You're darn right. First in going from '97 to '98 then ADDED another spreadsheet program and dropped a high end document processing program. There's now THREE spreadsheets and only TWO document processors.

Why?

Spreadsheet calculations are exclusively double precision floating point, and compiled with optimizations for the Pentium II FPU. If you look at application by application performance, a vanilla K6 smokes a Pentium II in document processing and is weak in spreadsheets.

Let me ask you, how many of you do 50% more spreadsheet processing than document processing in your daily work?
