Any chemical heads know if V is OK with Nitrous Oxide at the dentist? Is this a "nitrate"? We don't want dead patients in the chair at our friend's dental practice.

Let's hope we get someone who knows this stuff, rather than just looking it up, but if I compare the following, from viagra.com :

VIAGRA was shown to potentiate the hypotensive effects of
nitrates and its administration in patients who use nitric oxide
donors or nitrates in any form is therefore contraindicated.

To this passage from erowid.org (everything you want to know about nitrous oxide):

Can lead to hypotension and decreased cardiac output when
administered alone

It sure sounds to me like Viagra's use with nitrous oxide is contraindicated.

Now, take that all with a big old grain of salt, because I'm a computer geek, not a chemical head. ;-)
