Mike,The Walmart news really is not news. Both Kmart and Walmart have similar demographics when it comes to sales, and sales per store. Both companies sell 80% of their total sales in their top 400-500 stores. It is very common, and quite predictable, for them to remove a high ticket item from their smaller stores. In fact, the store wide launch of PC's into Walmart was initially done for all stores for higher visibility and PR. It was planned from the start, that it would be highly likely Walmart would only sell PC's in the top stores, and thus scale back. This I absolutely know from fact.
