M31, when a competitor makes it plain that their aim is for their product to supplant yours in the market place, then yes, the logical reaction to expect is the threatened party will attempt to cut off the air supply of the threat. That's the market place. Microsoft does not welcome products from competitors which are touted as "Microsoft Killers". To expect anything different is unreasonable.
