The announcement of the increased R&D in 1H97 was made over two weeks ago. The day they announced that the stock dropped drasticly.
With that news (theoritically) already priced into the stock, and w/ said news not being new info any longer, why would this continue to pressure the stock?
Just my thought, I'd think it's something else.
I wonder if everybody realizes that if Spyglass's R&D pays off, buying @ the current price level would pay off big time.
I also think that all should note that the co. is really beefing up its sales force. When the development of SPYG's next generation products is going on, the co. still intends to grow profits from its existing software products.
The 4Q96 EPS, when compared to last year's (before the one-time gain in 4Q95) were up 60%. I don't see this as a sinking ship in the slightest.
