Under normal circumstances, I'd simply assume you were kidding and compliment you on your wry sense of humor. Unfortunately, my experience with the LOR Motley Board confirms that there are people who actually think as your post suggests. First, please post on the Loral political thread that Dragonfly started (in what has to be one of the smartest moves I've seen--and for which I will always be grateful: thanks flyman from the bottom of my heart).
Second, a brief introduction to justice if not common sense. We have this strange notion in the U.S. called presumption of innocence, it's a simple concept but quite helpful in maintaining the liberties of individuals vs. the awesome powers of the State. You should explore it some time.
Third, an investigation is just that--an investigation. It's called fact finding to determine if there is any substance when there are allegations of wrong doing. Until the investigation is concluded, we operate under the concept outlined in the prior paragraph. Got it?
I didn't think so. Ergo, pop Encarta in your CDROM drive and press the FIND SENATOR JOE MCCARTHY button (try spell check on McCarthy because I think I have succeeded in eliminating the memory and therefore possibly the correct spelling from my mind).
You'll know when you get to a bunch of idiots destroying innocent peoples' lives in the pursuit of political gain under the guise of patriotic interest. Is this starting to sound familiar John?
Now, go write on the blackboard 500 times: "I will not confuse the onset of an investigation by the opposition party in an election year with an automatic presumption of the guilt of the accused".
