Clinton is desperately trying to administer aspirin to cure fever without understanding that this fever is a mere symptom of an ailment caused by an American policy of befriending China which exploited the friendship to supply missile and nuclear technology to Pakistan and Iran, irrevocably destroying the US-Israel alliance.

Clinton is realizing his folly as his myopic policy is exposed. Just think about his desperate mid-night telephone diplomacy with Pakistan. He tried his best to not give the Muslims their Islamic bomb. But, the Chinese had already sold the bomb to Pakistan and perhaps to Iran, thanks to the Americans. American policy is doomed. The Chinese have out-smarted the Americans and Indians have now matured to take the gauntlet to expose the fallacy of American China policy to the Western public.

In my opinion, Americans have no choice but to abandon their current China policy. The recent nuclear tests have not at all increased the probability of nuclear arms race and mutual destruction in South Asia because no substantive change has occurred as a result of the tests. Pakistanis had stated in the wake of their Ghouri missile testing that the missile had the capability of carrying nuclear warheads to most Indian targets; so had India stated with respect to Prithvi and Agni. Furthermore, everyone knew about the Indian and Pakistani weapons. The US had information about the exact designs of the Chinese nuclear bombs in Pakistan!!

Clinton is an expert in cheating the American public. But, he cannot escape being caught in the foreign policy arena. He should openly speak about the real ailment caused by the US and apply anti-biotic, which is to change the current policy with respect to China.
