When staying in San Antonio, it is always desirable as tourists to stay downtown on the Riverwalk where all the excitement is and little trolley cars to take you around to areas that are just a little too far to walk.
I think the best deal to be found is at the Hyatt Regency located right on the Riverwalk, and in the center of all the action there.
Normal rates are $224 sgl and $249 dbl, but we are able to get the rates of $155 single OR double for our reunion. Riverwalk or Alamo views are an additional $15.00. The hotel has 3 bars, one called Mad Dog Brew Pub and I am told they most probably carry that Belgian beer you guys like, but that is not confirmed.
She will hold a block of 40 rooms until I get back with her on Monday, so I sure do need to hear from you all that this is ok with you.
Also, the meeting room for 5 hrs is complimentary. (Do we need it longer?)
SA is such a tourist destination I was unable to secure enough rooms at two other hotels so unless we spread out to the edge of town, I think we ought to jump at this location!
The group rates will be under the name of YEEHA, BUT NOT UNTIL I confirm with her on Monday. After confirmed, I will give the 800 number to make your reservations.
Peg and I will check in over the weekend to see if we have enough in agreement to proceed.....YEEEEHA!!
Other hotels within walking distance of the Hyatt would be the La Mansion, La Quinta, Holiday Inn, and The Menger Hotel.
