To try to put reality back into the equation, the Hearn pipe grade should come in at between 3.0 and 3.5 carats per ton. This should be the expectation because this is the most likely range it is expected to fall into. I think Kaiser is too high in his expectation printed in his latest piece on MPV. Although the report by Kaiser is the best I have ever read on the company, I take issue with his estimation of the Hearn grade. I have spoken with Jan Vandersande about the Hearn grade and he has informed me that he hopes it will come in at 3.0 or better. Even considering the conservative nature of Mr. Vandersande, an expectation of over 3.5 grade is not realistic at this point in time. A grade of 3.0 or better is an excellent grade and one which will get noticed by any diamond industry veteran as being an excellent result. There are not that many economic pipes with a grade of 3.0 or better in the entire world. They exist, but tend to be smaller and are quite rare.
