Warren, there is no need to make fun of the long investors.
Most of them are in it for a quick buck, and judging from past history on this stock, as long as they bought below 46, they are making $$$.
Unfortunately, past history can not be used as predictor of the future performance. Is like roulette betting on red or black. You can bet and win several times in a row, but betting all your proceeds again could be a sure way to getting cleaned up. I know that is not the perfect comparison but the risk/reward ratio has gotten to that point.
The upside potential gets limited when a stock moves up significantly and little hard data changes the bottom line of the company. Expectations can run a price up fuelled by various things: greed, small float, hype, etc. One example is NSCP and SPYG that ran up substantially last year prior to the stock split they both had. When things cooled off, 3-6 months later, they were not near where the top was. The y2000 issues seem to have entered the same pattern as the Internet did last year.
