(Just taking the last message Ned, this wasn't necessarily directed to you in particular).
Re: Stock Price, Upward trend?
What it's really going to take is SALES. You could get all the news in the world about anyone, but when you start talking financial statements, buy-outs, hedge funds, etc, there's always a reason for it. It's the product, and the rate of return from sales. If the P&L sheet is showing a loss, it's usually because sales aren't meeting expectations. And we all know what happens when the financials come out showing a loss....
Araldica has a narrow but SOLID product offering which is aimed at a certain segment of the population.... ie, you ain't going to find Araldica's products in Wal-Mart! When dealing with specialized commodities such as this, it takes more time, work, repeat customer business, customer referrals, and advertising to get the sales where you want to be... and be the leader in your marketplace.
As long as - The work continues on the web-site - The customer expectations are maintained (& preferably exceeded) - The advertising, which must be precisely targeted, is effective, and - The BOD continues to stand by its products and ideas without going into the mousetrap business,
Araldica will work, and it will work well. The stock price will follow, but IMO, don't expect all of it overnight. The fact that the May 29 news release shows that the Internet has exceeded their expectations might get the BOD's heads out of the closet and make them pay attention to the power of the millions of consumers that have access to it. While Araldica has been focusing their consumer wine market to the state of New York, maybe, just maybe, they'll shoot for the moon for sales world wide via the internet on everything else.
I've seen too many bone-headed execs sneer at the power of the internet as pie in the sky. Not to say that Frank or anybody at Araldica thinks like this, at least they were willing to put forth some $$ and effort to get Araldica.Com up and running. Now maybe they just might look at it a bit more seriously. With this in mind, there's renewed hope for the sales of Araldica products, and, its stock price.
It's (the internet) dirt cheap advertising, and it doesn't cost five mil to get it up and running. Just be sure you're ready and your store's in order before all the customers start walking into www.araldica.com.
Pageup :-)
Lock Matthew in the closet with his computer until he can get it finished! No more vacations for you Matt..... we need 3-D fish egg videos online now! (Just kidding). (That's the problem... if I didn't say just kidding you really would have taken me seriously!!!!)
Seriously though Matt, would you consider posting your weekly web site hit numbers on SI? I know that the counts aren't necessarily accurate, but it would provide a rough, relative indication of exposure to the internet community. Thanks. |
