Dear Regine (and others in this group),

It's been a great couple of days for Heartstream. Someone inquired earlier whether HTST had any competition -- I think Physio-Control is not only the major competition but has also brought suit against HTST for patent infringement. I believe some of the engineers at HTST originally came from Physio but they have vigorously denied any wrong-doing. I don't know when the suit is expected to be tried, or if it will be settled out of court.
I did read in the Seattle Times this morning that Physio announced it had sold four of its defibrillator units to Air Zimbabwe. Compared with 300 units to American Airlines, this seemed pretty lame.

Take care,

Lorraine McConaghy
