You're right Bob, it sounds like the Merced is far from production. So, why the delay?

The market for this type of chip?

Is the design taking longer than expected?

Or is it because Intel has decided to scale back its fab construction schedule (I don't know if it has) in order to reduce expenses and make the quarterly numbers look better?

Or are they waiting for the FTC to help them with the design blueprints?

Any other speculations?
