I am willing to bet my house that you won't make a penny out of your AOL & YHOO! short position, unless you also bought calls and heavily averaged up! It will be extremely hard for YHOO! to go back below 100 and AOL below 70 unless we get a bear market, which seems to be out of question.
It was a great idea to short the second or third tier issues ala SEEK, LCOS, XCIT when they were at their heyday, even AMZN might eventually turn out to be a bust. However, I firmly believe that AOL and YHOO! will survive and become big blue chips in the 21st century, along with MSFT, LU, CSCO, DELL. Noticeably INTC is missing from my list. I think that INTC belongs to the past.
