Sonoma Resource Corp - Kaiser says Hitlerian technology may be the answer Sonoma Resource Corp SNA Shares issued 16448962 1998-05-21 close $0.34 Friday May 29 1998 John Kaiser, writing in his Kaiser Bottom-Fish Tracker dated May 27, says his old pal Sonoma Resource may finally "emerge from the gate as a hot stock." Mr. Kaiser declines to make yet another buy recommendation on the Pat McCleery play, as he did in November 1994 (90 cents), August 1997 (40 cents), and December 1997 (25 cents). The one-time Central and South American explorer now has a California company called Biometric Identification, in the business of fingerprint verification, in its sites. Mr. Kaiser does not approve of such consumer data-base assembly and maintenance, calling it Hitlerian, and spends much of the subscriber's time decrying the loss of privacy through technology. Still, Mr. Kaiser agrees that the "promotability" of this system is outstanding. Noting a recent private placement of 3.3-million shares at 15 cents, Mr. Kaiser says this is "not a standard case of rape and pillage," reasoning the stock was very liquid at cheap prices during its six-month hiatus as a cash-rich shell. "It makes sense that management reload by purchasing treasury stock," he claims. (c) Copyright 1998 Canjex Publishing Ltd. canada-stockwatch.com |
