Dear Jane:

I want to get your opinion about something; possibly if Emile is listening his opinion also.

You know my background. Episcopal,to Presbyterian, back to Episcopal, to Methodist, to Pentecostal Holiness, to Church of God where I have been the last 9 years. Generally speaking I have been 'holiness' the last 18 years. I have seen too many breakthroughs happen at the alter in church. I don't know what it is but when a person is praying at that alter and you have several hundred people praying for them there is power there to break down every stronghold of the devil. I have seen it happen too many times.

I'm not saying that God doesn't heal other denominations just as readily but the truth of the matter is I really have no way of knowing. My observations have been limited to Pentacostalism so my point of reference has been limited the past 18 years.

My better sense tells me God is not a respecter of persons and definitely not a respecter of denominations. My better sense also tells me my view has been biased to a degree by a lot of Pentecostal preaching and the idea of more effective breakthroughs in the Pentecostal faith borders on Pentecostal nearsightedness and arrogance if not crosses the border into nearsightedness and arrogance.

I guess what I am saying is that I don't care what denomination someone is when we lift them up to the Lord for deliverance or healing or breakthrough they had better get ready to receive.

When the scraps of food were picked up after Christ fed the 5000 the leftovers were limited to the number of baskets available. When Christ turned the water into wine the amount of wine that was created was limited to the amount of jugs in the household. When you pray for a blessing your blessing is limited to the size of the container you bring into God's presence. Praise God.!!

Any thoughts. gregor
