Lynch has coined what I thought interesting;

1. "Papa Bear" (1929-duration: 25 yrs to Break Even from 1929 hi)
2. "Momma Bear" (1973-1974-duration: 12yrs to BE)
3. 1982 Bear
4. Crash of 1987 (508 Dow drop in 1 day-big deal,esp then)
5. "Saddam Hussein Bear (1990)

In the text "correction" was approx 10% drop from most recent high, 53 this Century or once every 2 yrs. "Bear" was 25% or more,
once every six yrs approx. Of course a bear has to be a correction
first by definition.
Now that is what Peter Lynch says, other people may think different, hopefully not too differently.
