Here we go again with that "defensive" argument. I thought we were past that, Bill.

Yes, Microsoft must defend their core Windows business, but that doesn't make their strategy "defensive" as well. I suppose that if Iraq launched a full scale invasion on the U.S., you'd call America "defensive" because they would be protecting their own soil?

Frankly, I don't understand how you can think for one moment that what Microsoft is doing these days is defensive. Unless you have offense and defense mixed-up or something??? Isn't it true that everyone loves to hate Microsoft because they are too aggressive when they battle competitors, and try to take over the computing world?
