Gresh; *OffTopic* ; Well at least it was an honest Joke <G>
And your friend didn't send you out on the end of some limb,
or feed you to the monster.
I would not be shocked to later find Iran has a finger in it
some how, and if Afghanistan don't they likely wish they did.
---------------

If you knew back in the late 60s early 70s the full extent of
how smart and stupid we were both at the same time, you would
lose a lot of faith in so called wisdom of world leaders,
scientists and all , including our own.

I think it's safe to say now, we had enough war heads
concentrated in a area of tiny little Thailand at that time, that
had an accident happened All of Asia would have vaporized.
For some silly reason even the best minds at the time never
thought of the full impact that such a concentrated arsenal
of nuclear weapons would do, if even one went off. None of
the safety features would have been worth a flip.
Mother Earth could have got tossed completely out of the
Solar System.. ( and that's not a joke )
Carl Segans "Nuclear Winter" would have been an understatement,
he did not know what was in Thailand.
---------------------
Do you want to know how close we actually came to blowing
ourselves out past Pluto ?
How the Special Forces had to re-take one of those bases,
and had they not done so, in the typical military fashion
of thinking at that time tentative orders to blow up the base
so that the enemy would not wind up with the weapons were in place

No one thought about running the numbers on that size of
explosion for possible results to earth's orbit. At least no one,
that knew about the situation.
But I now know how to alter Earth's orbit with less than 1/10th of that kind of power.

P.S. If we can't stop Nuclear Proliferation it is just a matter of
time that some rouge leader will get advanced enough to do the
equivalent of the guy who straps explosives to himself
to do a suicide bombing in the name of Allah.
The know how to make a dooms day bomb that can destroy the entire world has been around for some time. And considering mans insanity it's the next logical step. If Proliferation continues, sooner
or later some one who believes the universe will be better off
with out mankind will get their hands on enough to do the deed.
If we don't accendently beat him to it.
