I had the impression that the ISDN conection is directly from the phone company e.g. in Canada (specifically Ontario) Bell Canada proivde that ISDN Line. But after reading some posts I started to wonder why ASDN which is involved in ISDN technology getting its modem made by Rockwell. I read a news release from ASDN recently saying they will be coming out with a 56k modem probably in 3-4 months and they have lot of ISP's signed up with them. But now the USRX is coming out with same 56k modem sooner than ASDN, now the question is how much difference these two modems will have. I guess the difference should not be much both will be analog 56k modem. Where does the ISDN fit in this picture. If anybody can explain me that!!!
Thanks Mr. John Baltz for your reply, You are not sure if ASDN wants to get into client modem business then why so much speculation going on who is going to win this 56k modem competition out of USRX and ASND. I have heard that ASDN is going to sell its modem for $300 whereas USRX will upgrade the existing modem for $100, is'nt that true. Please clarify that. Thanks again.
