Rick re: Panic $1.3 trillion latest Cap Gemini Y2K fix est.and growing.85%companies surveyed admit to under- estimating cost,12% in denial 3% on budget. 80% now changing their approach to remedyY2K problem since taking initiatives.37% have already encountered Y2K problems. Only 3% have contingency plans. US companies surveyed only, smells like a breeding ground for panic to me.Well at least I'll be able to use my credit card presuming my car starts, electricty is still on or there is inventory in the stores.Or maybe the cavalry will ride to the rescue, you know ''THE JOHN WAYNE SYN'DROME".The irony is I may not be able to sell my valuable Y2K stocks either.

PS: Can't beleive it just read on SI: US Government may DRAFT Cobol programmers, talk about PANIC mode.
