Yes, Dain and Piper dropped coverage of CHMD some time ago. The rumors were pretty strong that most analysts were very angry at Maury Taylor for not keeping them informed in advance about the QuickCheck Strip fiasco. Since then CHMD has brought in Henry Blissenbach and it has looked to me that things have been managed terrifically well. They've beaten expectations in almost every quarter, and for the one (or two?) that they didn't, they met expectations. From all accounts I've heard they continue to make LOTS of money and their growth has been accelerating. In the meantime, institutional ownership of the stock has dropped by something like 80 or 90%.

Care to share your speculation that "something political is going on here"?

Thanks.
