My original message supposed to include more. You still seem to not able to comprehend the relationship and tradeoffs between design complexity and transistor technology available at the moment of making design decision. Your " analysis" of silicon technology is apparently no better than your assessment of sources for Alpha fabrication as you just have demonstrated in your previous post: you forgot the major source - Samsung!!! What did you forget in your "consultations" about masks and silicon dopings? What a shame for a Ph.D.! Have a nice weekend.
