Having wintered for a few years in the Libertarian camp, I believe this is why there are no lasting truly free libertarian states, nor ever will be.

The extreme hands-off attitude toward things does end up resulting in strong-man rule, and the strong men end up deciding everything. The government ends up being irrelevant, as does your vote.

Of course I'm still waiting to see if there will be any true democracies in my lifetime. The country I'm in seems to be run by rich people, too.

What to do, what to do. Bring back dueling? The gold standard? Neitzche?
