Interestingly, the most important argument against 'y2k fear mongers' is that they all (except for Mr. Yardeni) personally have something to gain from this 'fear mongering'. This is an argument (see quote below) that could be applied as well to all persons quoted in this article that try to say that there will be no major consequences. These people stand to gain also by preventing panic; sell off of the stocks of their companies and so on. This article has an almost propaganda-like character.
