A name is only a symbol like any other word. It stands for the complex image that our mind creates. If you say "Jane" to Jane's husband, the word takes on a form much different than "see jane run" from first grade. If I said my name was William, I might be perceived by you as different than Billy.

I saw all these clever names when I first explored SI. So it seemed natural to have a clever name. Dennis P. called it catchy. Is his name really Dennis? jack calls me numbers man. Is he really jack? Greg Cummings calls me all sorts of names; I'm glad I didn't pick something like Charlie Tuna.

The fact that my name is 246810 should not be a barrier to communication. It might be an enhancement since it avoids stereotypes and pre (mis) conceptions.

Sorry if I turned a small cudo into an essay. A lot of people can't deal with 246810, and I grabbed the chance to get this point off my chest.
