off topic: a quote from that article...
>>>>
The active traders registered a turnover of almost 25 percent a month, or 300 percent a year. They held the average stock for just
120 days.<<<<

sorry to say that article is inaccurate defining TRADER... the definition of "active traders" is someone who do it daytrading/intraday trading or short term trading (that last few days or to a week)...These traders usually do it as a full time job (but not necessarily 8 hrs work)or part time 2nd job...All the trader cares is what is going to happen in the next few minutes, hours, days, or weeks...NOT YEARS...Their rate of return is measured in monthly not annually...

These supposedly active trader mentioned in the article are actually INVESTORS and if you reread the article, it keep saying "investor" that are trading short term...The "real trader" DO NOT call themselves "investors"..they also treat their money as a business not investment... the formula for a successful trading is "money management and discipline" which is lacking with the investor who are like to trade short term...

just a thought..
