Pappy,

There isn't any stock market tool around (technical, fundamental, or star gazing) that will predict the unexpected in stock price activity.

Technical analysis is only as good as the user's ability to understand it, and then only if the stock price data is a result of normal supply and demand buy and sell activity.

Technical analysis by itself, is not the "end all" tool for trading the market; it must be used in conjunction with fundamental analysis in a favorable market climate.
