Christine,

Wish I wasn't in the middle of packing so that I could take more time with this response to your post.

Towards the end you mentioned the injustices in No. IRL and the latest developments towards peace. Must admit that the progress in this regard under Pres. Clinton has certainly caused me to cut him some slack in this politcal lynching he's been going thru with the radical right.

At this point, I'm almost ambarrassed to admit that I voted for Pres. Reagan & Bush.(Not really--we owe a huge debt to Pres. Reagan for pushing the soviet union to the point of implosion)

Reagan won me over mostly because of his tough stance on crime. This is one of the areas where the democrats need to focus. Drugs in particular are the cause of so much unhappiness in USA today.

In any case, Pres. Clinton's amazing progress with helping the opposing sides come to a compromise in IRL proved to me that the U.S. had closed its eyes all those years so as not to upset our ally, U.K.

Now I'm betwixt & between politically. There must be many like me who are more or less sitting on the fence right now. That's why the far right has started the next presidential campaign with the fiercest political assasination I've ever witnessed.

Back to my packing:O)

Ann
