The questions to be asked is who are these investors and what strategy did they use if any. The value I see with Zweig's indicators are that they are indisputable and it is the choice of the investor to act upon them. Zweig focuses on the overall market. I don't recall if he ever mentioned one specific stock.

Finally, the academic world has been saying for years you can't predict or trade the stock market. Give me a break! These are probably the same academics who say a bumblebee can't fly. I think traders who actually do the trading should know better. And most investment books I read...say you can always beat the street.

Aren't you the one who is reading Edwin Lefevre book? What does he write in there?
