Hi Bill, I heard that rumour last week about deteriorating situation and checked with our Foriegn Office on Tuesday ,as far as they are concerned things are much the same , I asked if they thought Kabila was going to hold on , answer "we do not see anyone around to replace him" it must be remembered that the country he took over has no infrastructure no money and a lot of the flak he has been getting centres around his claim to have elections within a year ,this was as everyone knew entirely unrealistic , so now he's getting slammed ,he is trying as far as I know to have elections within a year from now ,whether that is what the country needs now I don't know , it's sometimes better to have a strong man at the helm for a while and get things rolling , then have your elestions , I do know they are encouraging outside investors and I note Banro (BNRS) was up Friday and they have properies in DRC
