Sire -- It has become plainly obvious that one of the main tactics of the people hyping the no-problem line is to create a strawman target by arguing against the most extreme purveyors of doom and gloom. While that group is certainly out there, there is also a huge middle ground of concern which does not require the system to totally self-destruct in order for there to be signifcant cause for concern and action ahead of time (which is rapidly running out anyway). MOST THINGS WILL WORK ON 1/1/2000. That is not the issue, and finding all sorts of references as to what isn't wrong doesn't help get the job done of determining what will go wrong.
