FBNA CEO COMMENTS ON THOUSANDTH POST!
Sedona, Ariz., 31 May 1998, Businesswire. FBN Associates (Nasdaq:FBNA) is pleased to announce that late Sunday afternoon TEDennis, CEO of the Company, had this to say about the 1,000th post on FBNA's Silicon Investor thread.
"Like, uh .. wow!", stated TED in his well known efflorescent style. He continued by saying, "One thousand posts since April 1st. Nothing is better than that. It warms my heart to know that so many supporters of our company and our products have taken the time out of their busy schedules to read and contribute to FBNA's thread. I assure you that I read and contemplate every single one. And, I'm not evening questioning Janice Shell's fortune in having been the one to snag the treasured 1,000th post. Surely she just happened to log on to the Internet, at the exact right moment, as part of her daily routine of providing FBNA's investors with the latest scoop."
In TED's typical conservative style, he cautioned all FBNA investors to "please disregard all rumors currently being spread regarding our company. If there is any truth to those rumors of acquisitions, buyouts, and secondary stock offerings, you'll hear it from me through legally accepted channels. Probably on Tuesday at 4:05PM EST, right after the market closes."
TED then roared off into the sunset on his now famous Harley Davidson motorcycle, adorned with the FBNA Seal of Approval. The questions from the attending press personnel were drowned out by the sound of the V-Twin and chromed exhaust pipes. Rumor has it he is joining the "Ride Home" with 60,000 other Harley owners for the 95th Anniversary of Harley Davidson in Milwaukee.
Analysts are expecting a spike in FBNA's stock price on Monday at the open. They're not saying whether the expectations were set because of the 1,000th post to the SI thread, or if they were set by TED's carefully worded rumor cautionary statement.
